As a first time Bulk Grain Buyers whats the go on the day with the Splits, Do we all hang around all the time until all part owners of a bag ar there and weight it out together. Or can you just take your share? Or should we be arranging a time

Usually work it out with bag holders. They will generally rock up early.

Need to bring scales and also split bags or buckets.

Good etiquette is to weigh the full contents of the bag and then divide by the number of splits, the reason for this is that bag contents vary by manufacturer and aren't generally right spot on. Depending on who you are splitting with they may use more or less thumb (Yob).

Just to be clear.

Its the splitters responsibility to sort this out, its best to communicate with the bag organiser of the splits.

I will provide a set of scales and a big container to facilitate the splits. I will cross off names as this occurs. Please bring your own container as scraping grains off the back floor of the car is often annoying.

All the bags will be checked off prior to any splits or any orders being taken, that will happen early and probably wont be seen by most.
