I have a nice Bill from the Shipping Agents

A nice $1,500 to clear the hops. Thats all factored into the price so dont panick.

Now to pay and organise pick up.

(Yes I realise this is already included in the price of our hops, but unless I'm mistaken that works out to $3.60/kilo in clearing fees??)

Probably 10% GST and 5% Import Duty, plus $50 to Customs for opening the package....

Had the hops been imported in quantities under $1000 AUS, there would have been no GST or Imprty Duty or Customs charge. I struggled with this when I imported $7,000 worth of tap gear...

My Apologies if the information I have just given is wrong.. I am just guessing...

I have just had a perve at the charges. They are all standard fees charged by Customs Brokerages. I am assuming that the cartage fee is for the pickup from BNE airport back to your nominated place of delivery?

Hops are cleared to be picked up, and will be picked up by this weekend (well I hope so)

Packing is definitely looking like THIS SUNDAY.

Those Brisbane people wanting to help, and get free booze and food for their efforts should

Packing is definitely on this Sunday in the Brisbane Suburb of Logan. Starts 10.00am. Anyone on the initial packing list should be receiving an e-mail today with details. If you dont please contact me, or better still, also leave a message on this forum.

I know this is short notice, BUT lets get those hops out there fast.

Also anyone involved in the packing, bring a beer sample to show your talent (or lack of). No -one will know, as the place will smell like a hop farm and the senses muddled
