I am up for the Lord, I can do the Nag's any time.

How is that carnation going Stu? I still don't know who I am looking for. If you see a young punk with no freakin' respect, it may be me. I should be there about 6 or so.

good choice...

Pistol Patch stands out... looks exactly like his photo!

I've never met anyone from here in person, so if I can't find everyone, look out for a 5'9" fat bloke with glasses wearing all black with an Asian lady. That'll be me and the missus.

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Cheers - Fermented.

You will be in fine form! Looking forward to that beer with you and the rest of the troops. Sorry that some of you were unable to make it but there is always the next time.

As to what to wear, I am hoping to wear this...

It is OK to hope isn't it?

See you at 5:30!
Pat

P.S. Keyboard up and running Katie ;)

Does that go with your eye's Pat???

Sorry - have to cancel.

I just had a job come in that will have me on the machinery all night because it's a launch tomorrow AM. Gotta love advertising agencies as customers... grr... but at least they pay their bills and a hefty premium for last minute orders.

Have some extra drinks for me.

Cheers - Fermented.

No, I'm the CD, DVD and USB stick business. Silicon and optical media as they seem to call it these days. :)

We do a lot of printing so yeah that's part of my knowledgebase and what we serve our clients with. The print for this job is being delivered at 9 tonight from some digital mob nearby. Wife is booking packing girls for 06:00 tomorrow. Eagh.

All I wanted to do was have a brew or few with some new chums. :(

Oh well - will be off for about six weeks soon... this biz dies in the butt from mid-December until February. Can work on killing brain cells by the million. :D

Cheers - Fermented.

Cool, I work in printing pre-press & production, sounds all too familiar.

Shit...that's a bummer Fermented.

Should be plenty of other times we can catch up in future!

Another top night with the Sydney brewers :icon_cheers:

One problem though was that a function was on and so the pub was pretty crowded. PoMo had his photocopy of a white carnation and the AHB logo but we may have been difficult to find. I hope no one came in and had to drink on their own

barls made a top effort of bussing it in at 7:00pm even though he is hosting the swap today. Good on ya. I think we may have turned Mrs barls to the dark side of brewing but am not sure. Maybe the next Mrs Sqyre?

PoMo, possibly due to having attended his office party before did a wonderful job of educating some randoms on the joys of brewing. Got to meet a real gentlemen of the forum too. Pleasure to meet you Craig!

We also managed to come up with a very intelligent scheme to pull Australia out of any recession. When you hear of the singlet rebate, vote for it!!! None of us could find a flaw in this grand economic plan.

Thanks guys and all the best,
Pat

P.S. Katie, your BIAB mummy is going for the highest possible singlet rebate and from now on will wear a white singlet top at all times.

Looking forward to it, Maestro!

Yep, Bizier, you're right. At this time of year the agencies play havoc. I think it's too many disco biscuits and Colombian marching powder at their parties. :)

So - more to the point - HOW WAS IT? Did everyone have a good time? Who went? What stories of the night? Any pics?

Cheers - Fermented.

ahh, i wish i read this, i was at the belgium last night.

Started off with myself and ForkBoy. Then Redbeard got there, then Pat made his way after being dropped at the wrong end of the Rocks. Then we had Barls and Mrs Barls arrive. Pretty small gathering, but very pleasant company. I think we all agreed the 3 Sheets and Blood were the best beers on the night, as well as the seasonal whose name I forgot...

Good to see you guys again. I'm looking forward to more little hook-ups like that around town.

Tonight I'm going to the IBU Xmas drinks gathering once the IBU case swap bus passes my door on its way back South. A tough time of year for the old liver, but I've spent the last 11 months training it up!

Damn.....

I turned up at 6pm and it was PACKED. Tried to locate the infamous 'white carnation photocopy' but to no avail.

So I grabbed myself a nice pint of the Lords Blood and did one more sweep of the room before heading home........

Sucks that I couldn't spot any of you - I even managed to embarrass myself by asking random groups of people "AHB Forum???" and " White Carnation?" hahahahaha

anyway, there is always next time.

Merry Christmas!!!!

lol... Am sure you spent an evening or two in a bar as a younger bloke asking more unusual and personal questions (e.g. the 'tap-tap' theory) but at least this time there was no knee to the genitals. :D

How about we try something for January? Silly season will be over, not quite so many people around and more of us will be on leave (aside from the financial market jockeys / people employed in accounting / people working for US companies). Maybe even making more formal arrangements and booking something somewhere? Yes?

Cheers - Fermented.

We were to the left of the fireplace. Had the AHB logo hanging under the framed picture above us, I had a pic in my pocket most of the night and there was another carnation pic on the table. Shame you missed us. We'll meet sometime...

Cheers,
PoMo

Theres ALWAYS the AHB pub crawl around Easter!!
