We've got a couple of new products that haven't previously been available to Aussie brewers.

First off the rank is the range of yeasts from the Yeast Bay, which specialises in artisinal, rare and commercially unavailable (until now!) yeasts. We've got nine yeasts from the Yeast bay; four Sacc. yeasts and five funky/sour yeasts/blends for the bug lovers. They were bottled last Monday, so you can't get any fresher!

Our second exciting product is a very limited quantity of malt from brand new craft maltster Voyager Craft Malt. Grown in south-western NSW and malted to order, this new ale malt is part of the first batch produced. Get in soon, but if you miss out, more stock is coming in the next few months.

Check it out at www.barleyman.com.au

Nice one NickR.
Are you selling whole bags? What price?
cheers,
mckenry

The yeasts sound great. Are you set up to ship to WA?

Sent two lots of yeast to WA today keifer - we're set up to send anywhere Australia Post delivers (and fastway, depending on what you're ordering!).

Thanks mckenry - we're going to put up bag prices very soon - drop me an email in the mean time and we can work out pricing for you

Cheers,

Nick

Will you be able to stock PBW and starsan?

That's the plan tiprya - PBW very soon (this week) and Star San a bit after. We're still working out the logistics on that one.

They're on their way! Let us know what you think of them

The yeast bay yeasts...
Funky saisons for summer, awesome stuff.

MOD: Gents, can we just ensure we aren't unnecessarily bumping with "I ordered from you" and "Thanks for that" type posts.

The retail and sponsor threads are primarily for supplying product information, rather than chit-chat.

:)

... we've got more information on the Voyager Craft Malt!

From the man himself:

Here are the details of the Malt Barley, its something I’ve wanted to do for a while and this has easily been the best quality grain to come off our place over the past 70years. (Hence the kickstarter I needed to get it malted!)

We've nearly run out of the only malt we'll get until August - so if you want to try it, then get in quickly. Don't worry, I've put aside some for myself to try.

First impressions looking at the malt is that it's beautiful and plump, and more aromatic than our other ale malts - smells great!

We've finally got our salts and yeast nutrients on the shelves and ready to go.

We've got Calcium Chloride, Calcium Carbonate, Calcium Sulphate, Magnesium Sulphate in 500g resealable containers. We also have Diammonium Phosphate for the mead and cider makers and Fermaid A for all sorts of fermentation (it's a combination of autolysed yeast and DAP) in 100g resealable containers. For those who don't like to measure things (or prefer a strictly beer-oriented product) we have the Danstar/White Labs Servomyces capsules in six packs.

We also have some Fermaid K and Go-Ferm on the way, and we'll announce when it arrives.

Happy brewing all!

Exciting news! We've just got our finings packed and ready to go - we're stocking Deltafloc tabs by Deltagen.

We're also down to the last 10kg or so of Voyager Craft Malt - so get in quick if you want to be one of the first to try it.

We're now proud to announce we're going to have stock of the SS Brewing Technologies Brew Buckets and Chronical 7 gal fermenters when they arrive the first week of August. I'm not taking pre-orders through the site at the moment, but if you are keen to reserve some, please shoot me an email at [email protected]

The Brew Buckets will be $249 and Chronicals $499 each.

Happy brewing all!

Sorry all - we've run out of stock of the Voyager craft malt! (Except for my private stash for brewing with this week)

We'll have heaps more coming next month. Until then, you're just going to go back to not knowing where your malt came from :-/

We've added Fermaid K and Go-Ferm for the meadmakers and now in stock!

We are also packing up 250g lots of hops, after a few requests. I've only just started, so keep an eye out over the next few days if there's a variety you want a bit more of as I get them done.

Good news for those looking to make a Heady Topper clone - we've got hop-shots and Apollo en route!

Last but not least for New South Welshmen with a fetish for stainless, you can now pre-order the SS Brewtech Chronical 7 Gal and Brewbuckets on the site.
