Well, I'm yet to hear of any micro brews that have even the slightest whiff of poo as a result of using Chinese grown hops....

The ones grown at home with blood and bone also smell like anything BUT blood and bone.....

hey townsville i saw wine from chile the other day for $5 a bottle so it looks like the barossa valley, hunter valley,margaret river,coonawarra etc etc are all doomed because it must be good if its cheap, you better let them know they are finnished!!

ha ha yes a LITTLE bit of research does go along way and you dont need to research at all to know there is a bit of a difference between the bulk producers of the riverena and australias premium wine producing areas that are among the best in the world ,also a small difference between bulk producers HURTING and the whole industry being DOOMED!! :blink: but never let the facts get in the way of a good story hey leigh what was it you said previously ? nothing annoys you more than than stretching the facts to suit your argument, well congratulations looks like you just annoyed

There is a tiny catch, you do have to buy pallet loads of it .. but if you ask me nicely and want some whites for Xmas I do have a room full of the stuff ( Drank most of the leftover reds) but shh don't tell anyone - my liquor license has expired.

Well The supplier still says Friday. I have just mailed off another round of paperwork to our clearing agent for the hops.

So the ransom has been paid, and it looks like our hops are about to be freed!!!!!!!

Just got a quote from ANOTHER SOURCE on a host of European Nobels hops, the complete stable. This years harvest too.

looking at $15.00 a kilo landed in Australia, then say $5.00 to get it thru the the Clearing House to me.

Its amazing the hop businesses crawling out of the woodwork want me to do business with them after this Chinese deal.

You should set up a hop importing business. You could chareg a 100% margin and still offer hops cheaper than traditional sources. You would saturate the market pretty quickly though.
