    I don't think a picture would come out so well so here is a cross section of the parts, the rim around the screen slots into the rim around the malt pipe.

    Second brew in the Brau Wolf. Tried a 21 litre batch, overflow pipe fell way short (or long) for a 21 litre (fermenter volume) even at a full volume mash of 34 litres. This was a Belgian wheat beer and was made up of 55% adjuncts, fell just below boil volume I would imagine because the flaked wheat and oats soaked up a bit more than I expected. Put 3 gram of bitter orange peel and 3 gram freshly ground coriander couldn't say I tasted them when I drank the gravity sample.
