Kahlua Porter

Porter - Robust Porter

Brewer's Notes

Fresh vanilla bean split and added at 10min to flame out. Kahlua added to keg for aroma and taste, around 400 - 500ml for a 20L batch.

100 ml Wyeast Labs 1318 - London Ale III
40L Batch Size

  • Original Gravity 1.053 (calc)
  • Final Gravity 1.014 (calc)
  • Bitterness 24.1 IBU
  • Efficiency 75%
  • Alcohol 5.07%
  • Colour 57 EBC

Fermentation

  • Primary 10 days
  • Secondary 2 days
 
Yes I did, for 90min at 67C.

Added a bit of body while the Kahula added the sweetness.

I have done this before but only mixed it in the glass. Nice but im not sure I would want a whole keg of it. How did it turn out?
