Not done a FVM Biab for a long time so I'd like to check.

To get good FVM mash efficiency three things are most important. :-

1, Fine crush the grain.
2. Ensure the water treatment is correct pH 5.2 to 5.4.
3. Correct balance of salts ensuring enough Ca.

Anything else?

What % efficiency should I expect?

Thanks All.

Can't speak for your system/crush/ingredients but my efficiency varies slightly depending on OG and mash temp with mash efficiency generally reducing as gravity increases
(1.035 = 92%, 1.055 = 88%, 1.075 = 78% ).

Until you get your system dialled in using this method, I'd start with 90% and adjust it on the next batch.
