Hi Null, yep I agree with you completely and to be honest it's been a mystery to me why they haven't implemented such functionality as technically it's not hard to do, possibly a funding issue (but they could require pre-payment to get around that) or a staffing issue? web admin can be expensive, who knows what the reason is, and it would be unreasonable of us to expect KL to explain their business decisions, after all we aren't shareholders in the company (although I would like to be lol). My feeling is that as the company matures and they gain market share they will offer such a service along with the inevitable rise in prices "sad face", but in the meantime I'm getting everything that previously was just too costly and couldn't be justified to the minister for finance and warfare, or was a "cor I'd like one of those" and upgrading my existing stock. As frustrating as it may be, make hay while the sun shines brewers, cos winter will come eventually. Cheers G

Agree 100%. And I'm not really complaining because as I have said on another place on the internet, Keg-land have opened up my ability to get things because I have considerable cost restraints!

I have received nothing but excellent customer service and the product is equal to the other places and far cheaper!

With these new products we are often not sure how well they will sell so we only manufacture a small batch and then get feedback from our customers before we order again. With that said if it goes well they can sometimes sell out in under 1 week. Then to get more manufactured and shipped to us it can take a further 2 months for this to happen. So planning inventory on products that we dont have sales data on is quite difficult but every day we exist the situation gets better. Today is the 217th day that we have been in business and every day we opperate we get significantly more data and can make better inventory planning decisions.

You can put that one straight in the kettle - it's designed to fit in the 35 litre Robobrew, so would be pretty much the same in your 40 litre urn.
In the Robobrew it sits about 2" above the false botton, but you could always straighten out the bends a bit if you needed it to go deeper.
I already had a copper immersion chiller before I got the one that came with the Robobrew, so now I immerse one on the wort and use the other as a pre-chiller in an ice slurry when the tap water temperature becomes ineffective - just connect them in series.

Edit: After reading the instructions on the Kegland website, I can see why you thought that chiller wouldn't be suitable.
They only mention the less common way to use it, which is to run the wort through the chiller which is sitting in a bucket of ice. The 'normal' way to to use it is by immersing the chiller in your kettle and running cold water through it.

It could also be that they choose not to implement a pre-purchase feature, rather than are unable to. Imagine all the whiners on this thread if items were perpetually Out Of Stock because all incoming stock was pre-purchased before it even hit the shelves?

That's how mine looked when they arrived too.
It didn't take much to bend them straight, but it shouldn't really be necessary.

I've got to admit though for the price its a fantastic set up! I brewed side by side with my mate who owns a grainfather, they both are almost the same in performance. Except the sparge took a bit longer with the double mesh.

That's right.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did but also I felt that maybe the overall height/diameter (410mm high x 190mm wide) seemed a little small for my urn (585mm high x 340mm wide), maybe it would be alright??

Yes I think a bundle would be a great idea and a time saver, especially with a link. 8L Mini keg came the other day looks great I haven't used it yet and I don't want to put a FC tap on it so I bought a bronco.
Any idea when the Ball lock liquid connects with FC will arrive this year as mentioned in the video???

I took the off cut of silicon and strapped a 2.5mm cable tie on and chocked it tight with 2 pair of pliers just blowing in it feels like the same resistance as blowing into 4mm ID 2 meter long pipe so maybe this might be a cheap fix if it ends up working.

Well... thanks to Aus post, that is my weekend brew ruined, 2 days in a row now my package of a grain mill and some silicone tubing has been "logged for delivery today" and as of yet nothing.

My local homebrew shop doesn't sell milled grain and their packs are ridiculously expensive.

Edit... Weekend un-ruined, Auspost was just 2 hours later than normal.

We do have larger immersion chillers that will arrive in stock in about 6-7 weeks so perhaps if you want a larger immersion chiller you should wait a bit longer.

That's a fair call. I will talk to the other guys about this and we will look at getting a bundle together.

Generally speaking most people would use the femable camlock fitting on your hoses like this fitting:

So this size fitting would normally what you would put on the end of your garden hose. Then secure with these 20.5mm stepless clamps:

To be honest I hate conventional garden hose disconnects and I have swapped all my garden hose fittings to camlock fittings that just do not leak like garden hose fittings. So even the stuff to water the lawn is camlock now. If you want to convert other garden hose fittings to camlock you normally need one of these:
