Hi All,

My GrainFather arrived on Wednesday and I've been itching to get my first brew done on it, today was the day!

I went for a Dr Smurto's golden ale as I've brewed that many times using extract and I really enjoy it.

Here's a few pics from today, it all went very smoothly but then I've watched heaps of videos on YouTube about the GrainFather which gave me a bit of a head start.

The numbers were looking good at the end, I ended up with 21l in the fermenter with an OG of 1.049 so hopefully the US-05 goes all the way down to 1.010

Overall a great day and a very nice system to use, looking forward to the next brew day already!

Just checked the brew and it's happily fermenting away, lots of airlock activity!

Next up for me will be the Black Jack dry stout kit that come with the Grainfather

I couldn't help myself today, I done my second brew, the black jack dry stout.

The aroma in the garage whilst I was brewing was awesome, very dark wort which you would expect and another great brew day!

Great work, only early days still, but how do they taste?

That fermenting fridge could fit another two fermenters, get back to it!
