I've seen the Duvel at Dan Murphy's at Menai.
IIRC they only had 2 or 3 left last Saturday.
Maybe sold out by now but as you are close by worth checking out. B)

Cheers

EDIT: spulling

Amatos in Leichardt had the Chimay ones about 6 months ago (maybe longer). Last time was there was about 3 or 4 months ago and I didn't see them, but they may have more in now...?

They had them in their wonderful cool room just inside the door..

Just having a look at that link, and I noticed it had a pack from Grand Ridge, an Aussie brewery that is "the most award winning brewery in the world". Just wondering if anyone else has heard of them, and I am living with my head in the sand, or what. Maybe they are only available in Vicco (saw a Gippsland lager or something). I've never heard of em before, but then again, that dont mean nothing. Can anyone enlighten me?

Must be living with your head in the sand trent, Grand Ridge is pretty common in bottle-o's these days...

Hey Jez,
i saw the Chimay pack in the bottlo next door to the Civic bar (city) at the weekend. (corner golbourn and pitt).. had a stack of 7 or 8.
think they were with the rouge.

Thanks for the reply's guys.

I'll take your advice Kong & check the bottlo near the Civic first then the other spots if I'm unsuccessful there.

Jez

Thanks for the link, Sluggerdog
Yeah, my head is a bit in the sand, but thats why I asked (rather than make a goose outta meself) To be quite honest, I dont go into the bottlo's all that often anymore, and the range isnt that boutique friendly up here. I'm heading down the coast over the silly season, so I may just keep me eye out for em, the write ups sound pretty good, and the southern half of the country seems to put out some pretty good beers.
All the best, and sorry for the thread hijack. Good luck getting them giftpacks, Jez

Theo's on the Sunshine Coast has a fantastic range of Trappist, Belgian and German beers at present. The 2 Duvel beers and goblet gift pack at $25 seems ok as Theo's charge $10.45 per stubby. Think Chimay was around $5.99 Schofferhoffer Hefe and Krystal at about $4.99 and also the Gippsland Brew, don't want to offend but have tried this stuff three times to date to allow for viariables in batch, storage and travel-ability but NEVER AGAIN!

North Shore Liquor in Cammeray (Miller Street) has Chimay, Duvel & Delerium Tremens with goblets. They had kwak goblets a few weeks ago as well.

I get the impression that the Grandridge brews don't move very fast from that bottlo, a bottle I tried was tired, worn out and a little nasty, unlike previous tastings from other sources.

Back to the Sydney bottlos.

Vintage Cellars Clovelly has Duvel longnecks with a goblet, boxed set.
