Cheers Wes.

Does that mean ProMash uses the EBC figures, i.e. I should replace the Diastatic Power figure of 45 with 150?

What is ASBC, IOB, EBC?

Check and see what you have Promash switched to - Go into System Settings, beer and malt colour. You have a choice of SRM (ASBC) and EBC modern or old. Use EBC modern. There is no IOB facility in Promash. The ASBC and SRM are a US standard and EBC is pretty much the rest of the world. IOB is an English system but you can find it being used in some individual cases (like CUB!) The analytical procedures vary for each standard and can not always be translated. Better to stick with EBC and that will cover all the malts available in Australia.

Promash does not actually process the Diastatic rating anyway - it is there for reference only.

I have had to reinstall Promash and cannot find my downloaded version of the Weyerman database for Promash. I have done a search and cannot locate it, anyone able to post it here or put a link up to it?

You might be better to key in the latest Bairds specs as many things have changed in the UK malting scene in recent years. Even that old Maltcraft.mim file will be well out of date now and wont include any of the more recent additions from Weyermann, Dingemans, Castle, Simpsons, Briess etc
Here is the link to the Cryer Malt website as a starter.

As Wes says, malt specs change all the time.
If you don't find what you want drop me an email to [email protected] and I'll forward you the COA's of the latest malts from Cryers and you can enter them manually.
