Damn it. Received my grain/hops order this week. Open it today and the 40gm 15min addition of Hallertau is missing, and a sachet of S23 is missing as well. To cap it all off the LBP shit itself and I'm hoping I can convert those sugars to get about a 1060 so I make about 43-44 litres of end product. ermagerd

Cheers Yob. Got to 1061, but rereading the recipe I put together, should've been about 1070 before dilution. Just means it'll be a 4.4% Vienna Lager instead.

I would've thought that the CoopersPA stubbies were crown seals not twisties. Damn.

Entry for VICBrew dropped off yesterday. Pity I cannot be there at the tasting, but hoping I score well.

Dropped 2 off this morning too, only 1 of which I think is a contender, my AAAIPA in specialty... Take that judges

Just lost 2L of an IPA. I twisted the tap around (loosened it) to get a sample, and didn't tighten it back up........

Did your tap come loose, or just forgot to shut it? If it came loose - try replacing the black seal with a silicone o-ring. #210 from oringsandmore.com

I have 3 Coopers Canadian Blonde tins, and cannot find the thread Nick commented on. Wanting to make an IPA using these 3 tins, can anyone remember the yeast and/or the ferment vol?

Bloke running a car restoration shop rang the council on Monday morning. Really epic considering I stepped up the search again last week. He headed in the opposite direction too. Was hoping he'd head back to Blackburn, nup, **** you, I'm going east said he.

Well day one of long service leave. Up for a double Vienna Lager and a Galaxy Pale Ale this week, all into no chill to build the stocks up. Looking forward to the double batch of the lager, should be a good test of the bag/nested pot combo. Leak testing the tap on the pot now.
