The Bank hotel in Newtown recently revamped their back bar, or is it middle bar? The one on street level that used to be their cocktail bar. Anyway, there's 12 taps of craft beer and one hand pump, plus a good selection of bottles.

I popped in on Sunday, they had all the usual suspects of Aussie micro's. I had just the one and then buggered off with an ambition to come back with company. I for one, welcome this new addition to the hood.

It's worth checking out as an alternative or as a pitt stop to the Union.
