OK, I've been looking at different options for a manifold for my mash tun. I am considering using S/S braid to make one (if anyone thinks that I shouldn't speak now, please) from reading threads such as this one and many others.

Now... where would I be able to buy some S/S braid? What specifications should I be aiming for? This stuff is pretty new to me despite all the reading I have done for it

Cheers,

Dave

P&C If you have read all you say, you would have found the answer to all your endless questions already...More time reading the older posts and less starting new (already coverd) threads..

Have to agree
P&C, I seem to recall you telling others to use the search button before, sorry but practice what you preach.
It's not a race to get the most posts on AHB

There was a time when I couldn't see the forest for the trees either. I'd researched lots of things but couldn't sort it all out.

Anyway, I got a metre long stainless steel braid reinforced hot water hose from Bunnings. Cut the ends off and pulled out the rubber inner hose. Bugger of a job, but take your time and it'll come. I cut it to a good size to make a figure eight in my rectangular mash tun, connected it up to a copper t-piece and then to the bulkhead fittings I'd dodgied up.

Thanks for the offer, but you're a little too far away from where I am. Cheers anyway.
