What is SpecialK? I thought Process Pumps was the cheapest in Aus? Or is ProcessPumps Vic Specific? PP sells@$250 delivered and with mounting gear from what I understand (I haven't made any recent enquiries, however).

I was chatting with citymorgue2 this morning about potentially doing an AHB March809 bulkbuy.. something to entertain, at least.. we just need to find a retailer willing to do a break on #'s. Might have to be VIC specific and pickup only, if shipping is an issue for them. Otherwise, AHB wide

Sorry I should have been more obvious. "SpecialK" (The name of an AHB member - Karl) works for Process pumps. He has given me the following quote:

March 809 HS PL $195.00 + GST ($214.50 inc. GST)

We can also add the following extras
Stainless Steel Mounting Bracket $18.00 + GST ($19.80 inc. GST)
3-pin Plug $5.00 + GST ($5.50 inc. GST)

Total (Inc GST + Shipping) = $239.80

A bulk buy might be a way to get a bit of a better price. And I would love to be involved.

Maybe we should PM Karl (SpecialK) a link to this thread and he can work it out???

I had a feeling that might have been the case.

I sent Karl a PM with the link to this thread. If he wants to he can go from there. Completely up to what he and the other guys at Process Pumps can do.

But may atleast be a bonus for him to potentially sell a number of units in one hit. Could have some fringe benefits?

edit: on closer inspection I see: "AUSTIN HOMEBREW SUPPLY IS AN AUTHORIZED DISTRIBUTOR OF MARCH PUMPS.
Wholesale inquiries are welcome."

If they're an authorised distributor, they'd have no problem sourcing the 809-PL-HS-24VDC. Bulk shipping based on weight might work out, as well. Pity UPS ground is disco; we'd be at the mercy of USPS air.

In the end, if we each save $100.00 and there's 10 of us, that's a grand, plain and simple.
