The fake reviews get a big thumbs down. Disappointing.
The blog post on carbonation is copied straight from Cheeky Peak's blog post from a few years earlier - a home brew shop who goes to the trouble to stock your products. Show some respect.
I just had a page open for the "Mini 360 Core Actuator Regulator" and sure enough the review is the same as one on Amazon for a different product. I don't even think this one has been sold yet.
Pretty sure when KL are back Monday morning those zany web developers are going to be taking the blame for those reviews being there.
Step 2: Now it's time to refer to a carbon diagram
They forgot to copy and paste the picture. lol
Didn't see any attribution. Really bad form Kegland.
Hi Kegland,
Would you please take fake reviews off your site? Things like this on your 'Nitro duokit - High Capacity Nitrogen (N2) Gas duotight push in kit':

Not only does it make no sense, but it's lifted from Amazon reviews about Nitrogen welding equipment. Leave the reviews to actual people buying your products. It's not too much to ask for a bit of honesty is it?
How about this one on 'Stainless Tap - For 5L Oak Barrel':

which is lifted from a completely different product on a kitchen warehouse site? I bet if I spent a bit of time on this I could find countless examples.
Do you plan to bundle the 360 core regulator with the mini keg tapping kits?
Hi kegland, Just wondering if there's a chance you guys are working on anything for grain storage. I know this has come up before and there was talk about supplying vittles vault containers but I never saw that come up. Did I miss it? I just think a simple container designed specifically for 25kg sacks of grain would be great and something that is not easy to come by. Thanks
We are sorry about this and this is a really bad outcome for you users. We recently hired a SEO specialist that is helping us with improving the way our site searches. We did recently turn on ratings for our website and I think having legitimate ratings are valuable to other customers. With that said when we turn on reviews on our website this feeds up to google rich snippets. So if a product is missing the review it will trigger an error and cause us google search console problems and this negatively effects our SEO. The SEO specialist has ensured that products that did not have a review was assigned a placeholder review just until we get you guys or customers submit actual legitimate reviews. So it would greatly assist if you guys could review products if you can.
We did not give the SEO specialist much advise on what to do but we said that if there are any placeholder reviews these need to be under 5 star so we do not try and skew the overall rating.
We do have a lot of legitimate reviews on our sites and most customers are happy to review our major products but for many of the less exciting products like hose clamps they simply do not get a star rating as nobody wants to rate a hose clamp or can be bothered. With that said once customers give more reviews on our website the other reviews will be removed.
If you place a review on the website and you have legitimately purchased the product and the review is genuine the review will get approved. The reviews need to get approved on the back end and this happens once every couple of weeks now.
We are sorry for this temporary issue with reviews but we really need our customers help to write reviews where possible as it helps other customers with an independent opinion on the product. We also do not like these place holder reviews but it's the best solution for the time being.
Bump @KegLand-com-au?Hi @KegLand-com-au, will you be offering a version of the "Duotight Inline Regulator with Integrated Gauge" that comes with the digital gauge as standard? Also any chance of a version with 3/8" Duotight rather than 5/16" (would prefer not to use adapters as that makes the unit much less compact)?
Thanks

Sorry but this really isnt good enough. Regardless of the reason, I'm pretty sure leaving them up is in breach of Australian consumer law.

So lets see if I got this right.
If something you sell (or plan to sell) hasn't got a review, some random unrelated good review (only seen 4/5 star)
is stuck in there to "hold the place"
When people start reviewing a product, if you like the review you might get around to taking down the fake review and replacing it with a real review - if its a good one. No one gets to call a piece of shit a piece of shit as that might warn people not to buy said doo doo.....
My best guess, you will be back in court some time soon, well I can hope.
Totally unethical, misleading and I hope illegal. If this is how you do business, Screw You

Look myself and many others buy most of our products from you guys. Your product development, price and what you bring to the homebrew scene has been great but this type of stuff is very poor business practice. Getting behind a business that you trust and support is pretty hard if there website is plagued by fake reviews of unrelated products. What is even more shocking is when customers point it out we are told its too bad and post us a review. Your products, design and innovation, are really great. Your handling of a "better?" website deployment other some other business practices (self promoting in competitors threads) may soon be enough to make me purchase elsewhere. I will currently still buy from here but if these things continue and more importantly are accepted by management, I will look elsewhere. We are sorry about this and this is a really bad outcome for you users. The fact that your website is bringing reviews from other sellers' websites is quite concerning to me, what's even more concerning, as well as leaving a very stale taste in my mouth, much like an unbalanced bitter oxygenated beer! is your response trying to justify it, like there is nothing wrong with it, and its the customer's fault in the first place for not reviewing products? Being a previous customer I actually feel violated, much like being robbed! After the embracing way, the new website was published and handled how in the hell did you not hire an actual SEO expert, instead of hiring a cheap SEO self-proclaimed expert? I can only assume this so-called expert you hired had reviews on his page that had been stolen from an actual SEO expert! We are sorry about this and this is a really bad outcome for you users.
