British Beer - Grays Online are calling it "Best of British Beer Sale"

http://www.graysonline.com/sale.aspx?id=22...h%20Beer%20Sale

Anyone know if these are any good, also they are getting near their best buy dates.

These are great beers. Due to what brands are being advertised they appear to be all from the same distributor (we @ Plonk go through this guy too). The distributor had ordered a little too much and if it is the same stock that we were offered it is close to or past its best before dates.

However, the distributor of these brands offered this stock to us at half price (only recently) and we were able to sell them as whole cases (12packs and advertised as close to BB) and we went through shedloads - they were very popular.

The best befores are an arbitrary 12months from brew-date and if you go for darker, stronger beers then I don't think you'd be disappointed. They are pretty top beers.

I smashed through a case of Thwaites Full Shuttle - awesome

cheerio,

Dan @ Plonk (ACT)

From a UK lad I know:

"... the marstons pedigree is the only 'mainstream' on tap beer i recognise.

Most of them appear to be seasonals from last summer/autumn at a guess."

So while the 500ml bottles might be nice to have the beer probably isn't worth the money anymore....

I think most of us are on this forum cos we don't drink "mainstream on tap beer" :)

Also, just noticed that the new auction catalogue has BBs that have not yet passed. These are some very good beers and 75c a bottle does not sound like a rish at all
