hoookay gents, I have a bit more information and even some prices now!

I've been doing some fairly extensive research on regulators (and pressure values, flow-rates, capacity, etc) and have come up with the following items. I believe they will meet our requirements quite comfortably.

Adjustable Medium Pressure LP Gas Regulator - $27 + delivery to your door.
Outlet Fitting: 1/4" PT Female
Inlet Fitting: POL
Outlet Pressure: 0 to 207kPa
Inlet Pressure: 250 to 1750kPa
Flow rate capacity: TBA, I have asked the question. I'm expecting ~8kg/hr

1.8m stainless steel braided hose - $20 + delivery to your door
Fittings, 1/4" BSP Female Swivel Nut to 1/4" BSP Male
1.8m_Braided_Hose.gif Braided_Hose_Close_Up.JPG

Regulator + hose package = $45 + delivery to your door

Express Post delivery to your door is $10 per package
Registered and Insured, add another $6.

Notes, conditions, etc
The above prices are for a wholesale purchase of 20 regs & 20 hoses, and includes delivery to my place. If we can get the buy up to 30 regs the price will drop a bit more.

Can I please get a final call for interests.

Those who have "interests", but have not committed, could you please make up your mind B)

Those who have indictated they're in, could I please get a final commitment either by replying to this post or by PM.

I will be closing this bulk-buy on Wednesday 18/7/07 at 10:00am.

Once the BB has closed, I'll be asking for postage/delivery details from everyone. I'm not being an arsehole about it, but I expect payment before I send your package out. I'm sure you understand :)

If you'd rather pickup your package, I live and work in Baulkham Hills, just off the M2/M7.

Please note:
- that agreeing to this bulk buy is treated as a contract.
- I take no responsibility for any lost packages by Australia Post.
- Add $6 if you want it registered and insured if you are worried.

Any problems let me know...

Tim

Edit: Added pickup details

I'm still in for both. If we're shipping several units in one package wil the shipping prices change?

Andy

The price of the regulator/hose/combo I've given is for the unit, and includes shipping from the supplier to me. Add $10 for express post shipping to your door, or $16 for registered and insured.

I'm happy to ship several units in one package to a central point of contact in your area or city to save you a bit of cash, but I'll leave that up to you guys to co-ordinate.

Phrak,
I'm in for the package. Either express post or CBD meet-up is fine.

Cheers,
PoMo.

Cool, but I don't get into the city much these days - I work out at Baulkham Hills at the moment.

Guys,

If you're in Melbourne, I'm happy to act as a distribution point if we want to bulk ship the regs... send me a PM if you're interested.

Andy

Hi Tim,

Im in for the reg + hose package.

Thanks,
Andrew.

Tim,
Will the hose alone make any difference for a normal reg?

Eric
No difference to the performance with a normal reg, but if you're thinking about a burner/regulator upgrade in the future, you may as well grab one now. I'd be surprised if you can get a 1.8m braided hose for much cheaper than this.

Tim

Put me down for one then. I'm sure I will upgrade soon enough.

Eric

Count me in Tim for Reg and Hose combo.

Thanks for all the terrific work and time you have put into this.

Cheers

I would very much like to be in for a hose and reg, but I am startingto think doing so would make me need a new burner! My 3 ring burner has a male inlet (requiring a female connection on the hose, obviously), but it is 1/2" outside diameter. The hole in the middle of it is smooth, and about 1/4". Is there any special way of measuring the sockets, or am I hooped? My current hose is actually built on with a non moveable clip to my current reg, so I wont be able to use that either.
My 3 ring burner was bought from a camping store, are all the other 3 rings really only 1/4" hose attachments? I cannot believe they would be that different, seeings as a plain old regulator from Kmart screws into it. If I will be fine with the 1/4", I am in for a set, though.
Mrs has the camera till tuesday, though, so wont be able to put up a pic till then.
