No difference to the performance with a normal reg, but if you're thinking about a burner/regulator upgrade in the future, you may as well grab one now. I'd be surprised if you can get a 1.8m braided hose for much cheaper than this.Tim,
Will the hose alone make any difference for a normal reg?
Eric
Hi Trent, regardless of the fitting for your current burner, you should be able to get an adapter from your local plumbing store. Wrap the thread in yellow or pink plumbers tape and away you go.<snip>My 3 ring burner has a male inlet (requiring a female connection on the hose, obviously), but it is 1/2" outside diameter. The hole in the middle of it is smooth, and about 1/4". Is there any special way of measuring the sockets, or am I hooped? My current hose is actually built on with a non moveable clip to my current reg, so I wont be able to use that either.<snip>
Excellent, cheers guys. I have booked in everyone who's replied up to this post. I'll send through my bank account and contact details via PM for those who have confirmed.
I'm undecided (and would like some feedback please!) on the best approach for people who are considering combining postage with other people in their area.
Should I:
1) Get you to pay me the value of the item only, charge the postage to the central person, and let you all work out what you owe the person for your share of the postage?
2) Hold off until the BB closes and people have decided how you want to receive your items, then invoice you all directly for the item plus your shared cost of postage?
3) Any other ideas?
Tim.
Tim I think if you should wait till the BB finishes and collect everyones original costs to cover you getting the stuff to you. Then in the time leading up to delivery work out who wants what where. This way you can work out postage for everyone involved and get the money prior to dispatching goods away from syd. This will hopefully make sure you are never left out of pocket and should give everyone a good chance to organize bulk postages.
Cheers

The chances are that the 1/4" nut of the hose we're buying will fit straight onto your burner.
Cheers,
Tim.
Phrak,
So far I've had no takers for combined postage to Melbourne.
Also, I haven't got a PM from you for bank details - I'm still in for reg + hose.
