    Food Grade Hose

G'day all, I've recently been able to use a huge 50L stockpot for full 23L batch boils. I have done one in this method and it turned out quite nice compared to the same recipe done with a 6L boil. My only worry is that with a full boil i have to syphon the wort down into the fermenter. Not...

    Boil Volume

Just wondering, if you have the means to do it, would it be better to boil the full batch(23L) using two cans of LME, hop additions and steeped grain? Then transfer to fermenter, cool and pitch? Confused, Rob

    Brewery Names

Alright lads, From browsing this site pretty much non stop for a month it's plain to see all the members with cool brewery names. Fermentables

Another noobie question here, is normal raw sugar from a supermarket fermentable? Like if you try to boost the alc% with a small bit, would that work or make the beer taste sickly sweet? Cheers, Rob

Hey all, Just sitting on the balcony minding my own business when i thought someone shot a gun in my house! My first casualty of home brewing. Sealing

Hey lads, i read somewhere that gladwrap stretched over the fermenter, held in place with a large elastic band and with a single pin prick in it is better than the standard fermenter lid/air lock combo. Any truth behind it??
