Update:
There were some issues with the PCB giving some intermittent strange behaviour, so we worked out a fix for it and the prototypes are being produced by the fab house right now. Hopefully I'll be posting with good news soon! (maybe even photos if it they are right! )

The boxes I received were not to spec (which means holes not in the right spot which means things don't fit...) there is a corrected set in transit now.

The heatsink samples I just got weren't to spec (holes for the SSRs not drilled and tapped.) I'm working on this one, potentially with a new supplier. The original supplier is re-sending a new set of samples.

Custom LEDs received and looking awesome - as are the new custom cables.

I'm working with the temp probe people to get a custom version made which will mean no soldering required at all (otherwise you have to solder the connector at the end of the temp probe to a socket, and then the panel mount side also need wires soldered inside the box). I think we've got a solution (using 3.5mm mini-jacks) that will allow you to feed the plug through the hole in your pot AND get the fastening nut back over the end of the connector so you can fasten the bulkhead in place. Waiting on the samples to be made.

I've sourced some IP65 rated powercon style connectors and will be using those instead of the ones pictured earlier in the thread. They will be more expensive (more than double) but will provide better protection from water spills.

Almost there! Just a heads up - as well as all of the additions and improvements - the australian dollar has fallen around 10% since I started this project (edit: this is important because all parts are priced in USD from suppliers). When I get the final prices on all the parts I'll post a final cost, but it will be more than $200 based on what I already have costed out. It will however, involve (fingers crossed) no soldering, and will be awesome.

Due to the price creep I'm going to have to drop my order to one controller. So there is a spare slot at Number 19. if anyone wants to use it.

I'm sure that it's going to be worth every cent and more, but I can't quite justify getting two at the moment.

Sounds like it will be worth the wait.
Will it be possible to have a pressure sender on my pump outlet, feed back to the controller, and stop the pump for 10 or so seconds at a determined pressure?
Reason I ask is I am getting grain compaction, and with the chugged pump it just keeps pushing on till some thing gives.
To get around this I have a ball valve off the outlet feeding back to the pot to drop the pressure.
But if the pump cut out at a higher pressure, then restarts I think I could get a higher total flow through the grain for the duration of the mash?
This might work out better for me rather than the time cycled pump rests, maybe?

No problem cervantes - I'll post the full kit when I get it finalised so everyone can see exactly what it looks like in real life.

Clayton - there are all sorts of complex ways to solve this problem, but really, what you want is a ball valve of the pump. ok- looks like you have that. Honestly, I don't think the hassle will gain you anything. Less to break = more reliable. HIgher flow... isn't going to be that much higher anyway, I would suggest that controlling flow to a reasonable level and the right crush is probably the easier way to solve it. You don't want a really fine crush for this kind of re-circulating set up. Maybe try a 1.4mm gap and see how it goes?
