No problem cervantes - I'll post the full kit when I get it finalised so everyone can see exactly what it looks like in real life.

Clayton - there are all sorts of complex ways to solve this problem, but really, what you want is a ball valve of the pump. ok- looks like you have that. Honestly, I don't think the hassle will gain you anything. Less to break = more reliable. HIgher flow... isn't going to be that much higher anyway, I would suggest that controlling flow to a reasonable level and the right crush is probably the easier way to solve it. You don't want a really fine crush for this kind of re-circulating set up. Maybe try a 1.4mm gap and see how it goes?

I get my grain crushed by the guy I buy it from, so no idea of the size. Will chase that up. Also my malt pipe is a little different than the norm... Efficiency has been crap <65% , so working on different malt pipe. In any case will take that discussion to the write thread. Cheers Clayton.

Is this unit limited to a 10A heating element?

Hi mech warrior, the SSRs are rated to 40a. The electrical plugs are rated to 20a. Its up to you to decide what you are comfortable putting through it. Above 10A I would recommend you ad active cooling (add a fan to the heatsink - I'm waiting on final samples - third time a charm?, but it is pre-drilled and tapped for an 80mm computer fan).
