Hint: if you've got a decent set of electronic scales then count out 100 and weigh them, and voila, quick measurement of 100 tubes.

I plan to do slants, as a long-term storage and ready means to swap with other brewers.
I'm already storing many jars of slurry in the fridge, and it's taking up too much space for long-term storage.

...so, if anyone has details of a good thread/website that covers the details of creating and using slants, then please post a link.

Hey Hutch,
My wife is the guru of the yeast farming. She does slants and has written up a three page information sheet gleened from many different websites. She has had no failures as of yet. We have about 9 different yeasts in the inventory.
She can send it to you in a word document if you would like.

I followed THIS METHOD years ago, easy to follow and concise. It has been re-written somewhere with pictures.

Sorry CS, all have been accounted for. I may run another one next year as I wanted another 50 but sacraficed them for another member. Although there is enough interest maybe to run another Bulk Buy, but I wont get it going until next year at this stage. I will start another thread today to get the interest going.
