Munich Oktoberfest

when I went in 2004, we were there opening day for the cracking of the first barrel and we stayed until the end. Italian Weekend isnt much fun, they are loud, obnoxious and sleazy and when this happens most germans seem to of disappeared.



god I miss the pretzels, the arnold schwatzernigger schnitzel burgers and the Spaten.

Just got back from Europe yesterday.

Oktoberfest is a pain in the arse... I went to the Gubodenfest in Straubing instead. That was cool!

I got back from Germany on Sat night. Headed out to Munich via Salzburg on Wednesday morning. Oktoberfest is overrated. Big sessions and all, but just thousands of backpackers.
Headed over to Stuttgart on Fri for the start of the Cannstatter Volksfest, much better! :beer:
The same number of tents as Munich, with next to no backpackers or tourists.
