My Bunnings Ozito variable speed high torque, reversible, corded drill is absolutely perfect. Even doing a 15 minute crush it doesn't raise a sweat. Mine's about six years old now and the price has held well, mine was about $95 back then. If powering mill with a drill, a couple of points:

Don't get a cheapie cordless. I remember at Bradsbrew's brew day once and it was blowing blue smoke just on a Marga
Then he went out to the ute and came back with da industrial strength mofo and it was fine.

Always get a keyed chuck. Keyless chucks have a habit of suddenly spinning, don't want to chew up your virginal mini mill shaft.

I got my mmmm at the start of the year, so I am guessing it is the same version.
Mine has a triangle shaft on one side so a drill can easily key to it. The other side is the standard round.

Epic BB! Thanks all for comments re drill. I have a ripper of an older powered drill, it came from from Bunnings but can't remember the brand (it's like a dark orange colour). Anyway, I barely use it and I know it has heaps of torque so it might be a good candidate. Is there a template or something for making a base board for everything to fit to? Just wondering if anyone has some photographic examples, I'm a visual learner..

The setup shown is very Heath Robinsonesque.

Most untrained people pedal at 60 - 70 RPM. Assuming a chainring around 48 tooth, all you really need is 16 - 18 tooth cog and a chain tensioner. The most convenient type of cog for this sort of thing is a 6 hole ISO mount.

Almost certainly MJ. Bulk buys need to be centralised, if you have payments going off in all directions the thing becomes pear shaped. Also CB are cutting their margins seriously on this so why should they further have to pay one of their own staff to keep control of any one off payments, when they can "outsource" the whole lot at no additional expense to our MJ, bless his little heart and arsehole.
