Not a bad motor to drive these mills, plenty of RPM to choose from.

As an indication of the postage costs including insurance the following would apply:
Batz: Kin Kin 4571 would be $15.00 to send mill and hopper.
rude: based on Perth 6000 would be $24.00 to send mill and hopper.
Drill is the easy option the Bunnings brand Ozito high torque comes in well under $100 and is speed adjustable. You can buy specific setups such as that from Motion dynamics or Keg king, it's up to you how bling you want to go and how much DIY you want to throw into it.I'm in TAS (7249), seriously hoping there won't be too much Bass Strait Tax (BST) applied! If it's anything like the above rates then that'll be great! Also, what's the deal, do you need a dedicated motor or can one get away with using a good old corded/cordless drill?
Cheers!

Practice dear boy, practice. My finger knows the sweet spot on the drill and I've never had to battle anythingI have a 12V motor intended to power a push bike driving my mill. It works a treat, for years I battled with a drill but it's too hard to regulate the speed.
A motor gives you a nice slow and constant speed, while you do other things.![]()
Why not lay out individual grains and pummel individually with a mallet?
I'm lazy and was raised with a generation that values convenience over healthy choices, that's why! I blame my parents. Lousy beatniks.
Pffft,I used to do something very similar in my early brewing days. I used to throw individual dry yeast granules one by one into the fermenter, as I thought that was what pitching meant, but now I know better. Thanks AHB for educating me!
