I already have a long 2400W stick drop-in element, and this will certainly help bring my liquor to boil a lot faster..

A query, do you keep a lot of tension on your line.. you'd have to be bloody careful to avoid burning through the sheathing with the element..

mine arrived today - thanks, nice and shiney. I've given it a quick wash tonight while splitting the yeast for the weekend and will give it a good run through before use.

Slightly smaller than I thought from the piccies - for people who've not seen one of these it's just a little bigger than the element at the bottom of the kettle (which I suppose makes sense since it's also 2400watts).

Recieved mine also. Gave it a test run and all good. Until i pushed the limits, flicked on the Birko and tripped the RCD. Not to worry, two seperate circuits in garage. (Quickly becoming the brewery) :icon_cheers:
Just one quick question. Obviously i have to turn it off before removing, do i have to let it cool for a while before?
