received last night thanking you, bending some copper for my herms, so in a decade or 2 I should be ready to give it a try
one will boil 50lt in less than an hour
I assume that's starting from room temp and not mash-out temp?
Edit: spelling

It would have to be from mashout Aaron. I threw mine in about 12ltrs of tap water @ 16deg, there is a little bit of a manufacture smell that I would like to remove prior to using.... it took about 25 minutes to get to the boil.
My other boiler element = 2000w takes about 30-40 minutes covered to get to a boil (30 litres) from mashout.
Hardpressed getting a 50 ltr boil up in under an hour with one element from tap temp.

I'm thinking I might lop the plug off the end, slip ~300mm of silicone hose over, put a plug back on and use a hose clamp down on the coil end to secure to reduce risk of wort getting into the guts of the cabling.... is this crazy? will it be too close to the element and scorch the silicone?
No wort, nothing can get near the important part 240v. A real solid moulded join. Yes it`s crazy Rudi!
The extended cabling? i am not convinced is safe. It stinks like kerosene and at this stage still trying to find ways of neutrulising. Any ideas, post up please!
