Is it best to filter the beer before letting it rest for a few weeks or afterwards or doesn't it really matter? Usually after filtering the beer tastes nicer if I leave it a week in the keg to sit.

I was just wondering if I let it rest for 2 weeks before filtering would that be a better option? i.e. would more flavour be retained in the brew by letting it sit unfiltered.
