Yardy your gear was always and still is impressive mate. It has certainly inspired my current setup and future plans. And Warras manifold was better than yours

Although not better than mine

Righto, the sale fell through so this is all up for grabs again, $1500 ono the lot.

that's includes just under 70Kg of grain, 2.7Kg in hops, dry and liquid yeasts, starsan, PBW, unopened brewbrite, unopened yeast nutrient, half bag whirfloc.
the grain has been stored in a sealed 44, i weighed it all the other day and there's no nasties etc, hops, yeast, and other assorted stuff has been in the kegerator stored cold.

All 316 Stainless Brewstand
Swagelok Fittings and 3 Piece Ball Valves (will not leak) see here Swagelok

Brewery has a Stainless Heat Exchanger, 12mm inside 20mm with swagelok fittings, March Pump, MM2 Mill with Aluminium Hopper seen here Monster Mill, Pre Chiiler, 18 Gallon Kettle, 50lt HLT, 45LT Mash Tun.

Brewery works as follows..
Mash Tun is gravity fed from the gas fired HLT.
Mash is recirculated through the Tun via March Pump, a custom false bottom and secondary manifold after mash is complete to clear wort.
After recirculation is complete, wort is pumped to the gas fired kettle for boiling.
Once Boil is complete it can be pumped through the Heat Exchanger and back into the Kettle continuously whilst cooling water is fed through the heat exchanger via mains water and the pre chiller to chill the wort to pitchable temps.
Alternatively if you No-Chill the heat exchanger can be bypassed and the wort transferred directly to a cube.
Cleaning the Tun after a mash is quick and easy, the bulk of the grain is scooped to a bucket, the false bottom and the manifold are removed (see pics) and the remainder is hosed out via a valve in the base, no mess and is usually done whilst the transfer to the kettle is underway, takes about 5 min.

To anyone who might be thinking about getting into this kind of setup I'll tell you straight, although it's a lot of fun putting this kind of build together yourself the costs add up real quick for every little nut & bolt you have to buy. I live in Perth but knowing what I do now about all these costs, I'd be hanging out for a setup like this to come along, I'd have pounced on it & had it shipped over without hesitation. I know some people have great skills for building these setups & have access to cheap parts & favours from mates but even then I doubt they could match the bang for buck this system offers. Great buy for some lucky *******.

Good luck with the sale

i wish you'd have said that earlier, it would be a no-chill brewery by now :)

just to clarify this, the price does not include the rambo and the blue cylindrical mash tun that was posted a couple of pages back.

you've still got everything you need in the sale at $1500 though.

cheers

Sorry to see you taking an early retirement Yardster.

Not so much retiring, just simplifying things mate, I'm planning on doing the Vic trip next year so I might hold you to that ;)
