Brewlab are a yeast supplier from the UK (they were part of the University of Sunderland), that sell brewing yeast on slopes (slants).
They currently carry 12 different specialty UK yeast strains for all types of English (and Scottish) beers.

The two attachments below outline the different yeast strains available (they expect to have another 10 more sometime soon):

The yeast slopes look like this:
brewlab_slant.jpg

so you will need to make a starter in order to build up yeast cell count before pitching.
Their instructions for that are here: View attachment UPDATED_print_Yeast_cultures_instruct._for_use1.doc

UK based home brewers have been using them since about 2007, however they have not been in Australia before.

One of the main costs will be shipping, and that will depend on how many are ordered, the final price will also depend on the exchange rate at the time of the order.
The price for 2 slopes shipped in one parcel to Australia is 7.50, (works out to about AUD$7 each), but combined shipping for more should reduce that cost.
Once they get here, I'll ship them (if you can't pick them up) for $2each.
This means the total cost should be about $9each.

I was looking to order them closer to the end of the month, which means they should arrive for Spring when the weather is getting a bit warmer and just in time for some Ale brewing.
If you are interested, please list your name, and which strain(s) you would like to order.
When that is done and the order/numbers are confirmed, I'll get back to you with the total cost, bank details etc.

No not yet, I was not sure how much interest there would be, but seems there is enough to worry about that.
Right now, I'm confirming payment methods, they used to ship/invoice them and take payment by Cheque, but I hope they are OK with Credit Cards (PayPal or something) now.

GB has pointed out that there might be issues with AQIS when importing yeast from Brewlab.
It's possible that the Bulk Buy may class as a 'commerical' import and that then the malt agar / jelly growth medium may require an import permit.
I've asked the "AQIS South East Region Entry Management Unit" to clarify the issue and will ensure that is done - one way or another - before we proceed with the bulk buy.
For now register your interest and we'll see what happens with AQIS.

Can we add some 5705 to MintSauce's order please? We're going halves :)

Payment method is confirmed, checking about the postage quantity/limits etc now.
Expect to have to wait much longer for a reply AQIS though.

For a bulk purchase (20+), Alison said they can do UK2 per slope, plus the cost of postage (which will depend on the total number ordered).
If you can't pick them up from here, add the additional AU$2 postage and that will make the total cost.

Pending a positive reply from AQIS, I was planning to make the purchase in a couple of weeks time.

I might be interested in a couple - what's the difference in strains compared to whitelabs or Wyeast (for example with the Thames valley lot?)

I'd suggest you read this JBK forum thread, and if you don't have BYORBA the comments here and decide for yourself.
Obviously there would be some overlap, since I guess there are only a limited number of brewery/yeasts available.
For example (I was told) that BL1508 is similar to Brakspear's yeast which means that (if you believe the Yeast Strain Guide) it is probably similar to Wy1275 and WLP023 (of those one is marketed as "Thames Valley" and the "Burton" so some may suggest that Brewlab yeast strains are better defined etc).
At the same time Pro103 yeast is similar to Wy1469, but both are also slightly different.
So I'm not sure if there is any definitive or qualitative answer to your question, maybe wait and see how people go with what they order and then decide for yourself. :)
