Not sure about the G&G ones, but I have heard that the ones Jim Boley (WA) sells that they are not suitable for force carbing as they are not rated for those high pressures.

I got a 4 pack from Ross late last year and they were all made in Germany, and very nice condition. I believe they still use them there - in the recent movie "Unknown" with Liam Neeson there was the inevitable cliche scene where the henchmen were chasing Liam and the chick through the corridors and kitchens of the Berlin Hilton / Sheraton etc with cooks diving out of the way and pots spilling etc.

At one point they ran past a motza of cornies all stacked up in a corridor so I guess they hired a genuine hotel basement for the shoot and there were the cornies just last year. Of course I was jumping up and down in the seat "lookatacornies...." :p

Some time ago on the second hand stall at G&G they had a couple of the 9lt`s which the bottom was blown out like a football.

the funny thing is coke stopped producing in those kegs 16 years ago, well they did in qld
so its amazing how there are so many around still going strong

Yep - Ross (I'm pretty sure it was Ross anyway) was telling me the story about how, many moons and a couple of careers ago, his job was to destroy corny kegs for scrap... how times change :)
