I'm tempted alright. Nice ****, and kudos on the colour coordination.

Taking your suggestion of going through T & S, just sent of a quote request, with any luck I'll order today.

Are you using the pump to sparge out, and if so do you regulate the flow with a ballvalve on the receiving vessel ? I'm rigging up a single vessel rig to recirculate, for temperature stability purposes, so I'm thinking I won't need to regulate the flow, as there's no grain filter bed or slow runoff issues.

Sure am recirculating the mash and using the pump for mash out. It's going trough a home made false bottom past the internal RIMS and an external HERMS. When I fire up the system I normally throttle the outlet of the pump using the return ball valve to about half for a couple of minutes to allow the mash bed to settle nicely, then I crank it open fully.

Even with a single vessel system you will still need something to prevent all the grain getting sucked up?

Well I had already planned for the likelihood of flow control, so there was an extra valve on the wishlist.

All of which will soon materialise into a delivery this week, as I went ahead with a $120 order this morning! All I need now is some food grade silicone hose, a few barbs, some gaskets and a pump.

It seems Big Nath beat me to the idea a few months ago, but I'll be doing a similar thing to his 1V system.

Update: Got some ball valves, camlocks, tee peices etc the other week from T & S Valves, excellent turnaround, even on one of the camlocks that was buggered, they sent a replacement no questions asked.

Along with the barbs & silicone hose from Craftbrewer, Im just about ready to roll, just waiting on some silicone o-rings from Hong Kong and washers which im sure I'll get at bunnings.

Cheers QldKev, Wolfy & others for the comments.
