Have my heart set on doing a few Yorkshire type beers, but this yeast isn't always available.
Does anyone have some? I'm in SE suburbs - well, on the peninsula, but if i have to travel....
And no, i don't want to substitute, I want that one.
Sorry for the :icon_offtopic: but i check in to CB regularlyto see if 1469 is available, but it never is. Anyone know when this will be available again. I signed up to the notify me service tonight. I've not used this yeast but judging by the description and recomendations it'd be right up my alley.

Thanks rdevjun, i'll check out the date for next meeting. And thanks for the info re 1469.b&h, 1469PC is one of the strains Wyeast keep in their seasonal Private Collection stable, so it is only available from time to time. It is one fantastic yeast and was my house ale strain for yonks. It was last available 4th quarter 2010, so unlikely to reappear for a while unless CB or other LHBSes can jag a stray batch as happened a little while ago. Sing out if you can't get any, I have it on slants and they post easily, more than happy to help out (ditto bcp, 'want that one!' ).
Alternatively, and pardon the gratuitous beer club plug, you're in Brisbane so perhaps come along to BABBs next week and grab one off me, there may also be a few beers in this month's Minicomp brewed with it:
June 23rd Mini Comp No. 4:- Amber and Dark Ale
At time of entry, beer must be nominated into BABB's beer classes:
5.1 Mild, 5.2 Southern English Brown, 5.3 Northern English Brown Ale, 5.4 Irish Red Ale, 5.5 Scottish Ale, 5.6 Australian Dark Ale, 5.7 Northern German Altbier, 5.8 Dsseldorf Altbier
I have an unopened smack pack dated 11/11/10. It's been fridged since I bought it from the LHBS here. It's yours for what it cost me + postage if you really really want some... happy to send express with a gel pack, or I can smack it before I send and it'll be ready for you to pitch into a starter when you get it; whichever...
Cheers,
schooey
Hey Altstart I still owe you a huge debt of gratitude for u-know-what. If you miss out I'll make sure I fridge a bottle of pure top crop from my next brew and get it down to you.
cheers

Post is easy, but Berwick is only a short drive from Baxter. Thanks guys - Peakydh is going to post me some. I can see slants have advantages over just straight test tubes.
Thanks to everyone who have generously offered to post me some 1469. BribieG has offered me some here locally in bris and i'mLuckily my boiler stand just happened to be the right height to just run straight into the cube via silicon hose. It was right around this time that I got rid of my cfwc ha ha. And don't worry, botulism is ok once you get used to it
