That could work! If I don't hear from anyone else who are a bit closer before mid afternoon then I could jump in the train up that way after work. Thanks very much!lael said:Hi Welly,
I've got one you can have for free. I'm out Northwest in the Hills Shire though.
Wort temperature was 16c this morning at 8am when I went to check on it (fridge is outside in the garage), and I bet it was colder than that at 3 in the morning! I want stability and for it to stay at 18c!Bribie G said:Why would you need a heat belt this time of year? Keeping bluetongues in the bathroom?
True. It was stinking hot last night and I couldn't figure out why my pedestal fan wasn't blowing air towards me but was too tired to make the effort to find out why. I discovered this morning the fan pointing the wrong way.Mattwa said:How did that happen?

I reckon my fermentation chamber was working it's arse off maintaining 18c!
Buy a new thermometer, not a heat belt welly.......you will fry the wort mate.welly2 said:Wort temperature was 16c this morning at 8am when I went to check on it (fridge is outside in the garage), and I bet it was colder than that at 3 in the morning! I want stability and for it to stay at 18c!
Not sure how a thermometer is going to keep the wort at 18c if it's 10c (or under) outside of the fridge.AJS2154 said:Buy a new thermometer, not a heat belt welly.......you will fry the wort mate.
My concern was stability of the fermentation. As I understood it, fluctuations in temperate can have adverse affects. If it's alright to let it sit between 15 and 18c then I'm fine with that! One less thing to buy (or one less hour and a half bus ride up to the hills!).Ducatiboy stu said:Why do you want it at 18*c...leave it as it is...
