When Do Flameout Hops Come Out?

Hi,

With my usual hop additions (using hop socks) I remove the hops at the end of the boil before chilling. I'm about to try a flameout hop addition - just wondering how long these hops should stay in the wort. I assume they come out before transferring to the fermenter - is that right?

I chuck my hops in free willy at flame off, then i let it steep about 10 min in the naturally cooling wort and then start the chiller. Otherwise i feel like im wasting hops haha. So I guess leaving your hop sock in untill the wort is chilled would work?
