Folks,

Well after the raucous and overwhelming support for my last find - 600+ views and 2 likes :-( - heres yet another. FWIW I've read articles that say that dried yeast (assuming proper storage) is viable up to years beyond its BBE date. And at this price you could pitch all 3 and still be cheaper than buying a single pack.

Anyway hope this assists a few members try a brew they might have otherwise not:

Be careful with M29. I haven't seen it in the description, but it looks like an STA1 positive var. diastaticus.
Let it ferment out fully and expect a very low FG, especially if you're bottling, otherwise you'll be making grenades.

I've used dried yeast 10 years after its best before date and it's worked just fine. I always rehydrate dried yeast before pitching.
 
Pitched the M29 on a Saison i put down on Monday, pitched at 31c and its been fermenting at 33-36C and its almost done.
1.050 to 1.004 in 3 days, krausen coming out of the airlock like a volcano, will leave it till its fully done .
