I wouldn't be adding tea tree oil to beer: it contains terpinen-4-ol and is toxic when ingested.

Edit: It's not very toxic: the LD50 (in rats) is around 2 g/kg, for comparison alcohol is about 7g/kg and aspirin is about 0.2 g/kg.
