Motorhead tonight - yeehaaaa !!!!!!!!

(and Maiden booked for feb - can't wait)

:super: :super: :super:

I remember seeing Motorhead at the Horden Pavillion in about 1989...

It was an awsome concert... :super:

Stu

I was at the Horden as well that night. I think it was 91. Was a great gig. From memory the sound was pretty crap at the start and Lemmy got pretty cranky. Probably got him in the mood as it ripped after that. Memories a bit dark and dusty but I think Philthy was still on drums ????

what a gig.

Tatts were ausome. They seem to get better with age !! I thought after they finsihed that they would be a hard act to follow.

But Motorhead were unbelievable. Would have to slot in somewhere in the best 5 gigs i've ever seen. Insane.

I got the feeling they were saying good bye at the end so we may not see them again in OZ, so if you can still get tickets to see them I'd strongly recommend it. You won't be dissappointed.

Now if only my ears would stop ringing.........

Richard

PS - the only downside to the gig was that the Enmore only had VB in cans to drink. I don't think I've had a VB for well over a year. Bloody hell its a terrible tasting beer. I'm not even sure it's beer anymore. HAs it got worse ??

Yeah, you are probably right about it being 91...

I also remember Lemy getting cranky when cans and bottles started to get thrown..

Dont remember the sound quality, but do recall more b@ngs in that place than an orchy factory..

My three and six year old always ask me to play Ace of Spades and air guitar with them. What a band!

Is Lemmy on JJJ tonite?

Big bad Lemmy from Motorhead is in to scare you today.

They had Rob Halford on the line on Thursday. :super:

**** yeah!!

I was at the Brisbane gig. All the bands went off, I had a great night but I did think the sound was slightly ordinary for Motorhead.

The night prior I ran into the lads from Airbourne at the casino, they were great, we had a few beers together and they are right into their band. Their show was top notch, full of energy and they know how to rock n roll... check them out! http://www.myspace.com/airbourne

Also got tickets to see Maiden in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney - I can't wait!!!

Sorry for delay - been off the air for a week - up the gold coast with the family.

No - unfortunately didn't get any pics. A guy I know was paid to take pics at teh Sunday gig so the usual street mags should have some reviews & pics if you can get hold of them.

bring on maiden !!

Ears whats ears? They well and truelly did me over last nite in Adelaide and I go to lot of gigs and that was if nothing else close to one of the loudest, at least thats what my ears are telling me now and straight after the gig.
Pretty full on show, of course copious of amounts of swill drunk and spilt. At least we get dr tim coopers here not VB.
Was right up the front a few people back from the punter barrier slighty off to the guitarist side during Motorhead. As you do for the first support I was in the bar. There was another AHB brewer right up in the thick of it all aswell.

It feels like I'am suffering from some blunt force trauma, I think lemmy raped my head with a hammer!

I know its not very rock and roll but I think I might toddle back to bed, either that or maybe a couple beers and pass out which seems a little more rock.

Got one shoddy phone pic of Rose tattoo, no Motorhead pics though as a was a little busy having a blast. :icon_drunk:

It was 21st June 1991 and I went to that gig after seeing Roosters and St George play st the SFS.
Lemmy was in a shit mood casue people were booing him and stuff was being chucked on stage.

I ended up loosing a shoe that night and almost got flattened by an angry biker.

All up a good night I was told...
