Everyone raves about AG this and AG that... well after looking thru Nick's tutorial i have decided to do it, if it really is that much better I'm hoping it will be worth the investment!

Playing around with recipes in Beersmith atm and just wanna know what kinda basic recipe should a n00b to BIAB brew? I wanna make possibly a Glacier/Galaxy APA?

Pale ales and wheat beers are probably all I'm really interested in, as the dark stuff isn't my kinda thing :p

Cheers, Matt

Use the Little fellas pale ale grain bill in recipe database, or the Drs golden ale, both good for experimenting with your own choice of hops.

I'm actually looking at moving on from BIAB in the new year. Probably starting out with a two vessel then moving to a three tier system. I'm getting over hoisting wet bags of grain.

However, I recently made a really nice pale lager with all galaxy hops.

4kg Pils
.5kg Munich 1

Galaxy 10g@60min
Galaxy 12g@10min
Galaxy 27g@0min

2nd generation S-189 Swiss Lager yeast @ 12C

25 days in primary
racked with gelatine and crash chilled for 24 hours then bottled.

It's a cracker. One of my best I reckon.

Apparently you can use this yeast at ale temps too although I haven't tried it yet.

Good luck,

Bowie
