i wish i used your magnets,can i borrow them mate :icon_cheers:

Blue tac sticks to them all.

my perlicks seem to have a magnetic pull to them, find myself constantly being pulled towards them :D

Blue tac sticks to them all.

Perhaps not the crappy creamers, they drip so much it would wash the blue tac off.

Ill swap my brass chrome plated taps if anyone has problems with magnets sticking with their stainless perlicks
Mags wont stick to mine :p

The rare earth magnets that hold my brewing posters onto the beer fridge have a mild attraction (and stick to) the Stainless Perlicks, cony-kegs, 50L converted brewing kegs, 18-10 stainless saucepans, and the stainless sink (not sure what other stainless-stuff I can find to stick them onto).

Hmm i wouldn't be too shocked. Stolen with no regard...

5. Is stainless steel magnetic?

Answer: There are several "types" of stainless steel. The 300 series (which contains nickel) is NOT magnetic. The 400 series (which just contains chromium and no nickel) ARE magnetic.

To those worried with 304 vs 316...

4. What is the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel?

Answer: 304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. 316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The "moly" is added to help resist corrosion to chlorides (like sea water and de-icing salts) See "Stainless Steel for Coastal and Salt Corrosion Applications" for more information.
