Jase71, while you`re there, what`s your theory on the JFK assasination?
Do you believe there was another shooter on the grassy knoll?
Do you think Oswald was the patsy and was set up as he claimed, before Ruby put the fatal round into him and shut him up for ever?
Why didn`t the Warren Commission come up with the answers?
Was the CIA really involved?

I`ve read a hundred theories, a lot of them seem to get close to the answers that would put it all to bed, but in the end, they all come up empty.

The Truth Is Out There.
Cheers

Well I was going to wish everyone a merry christmas and that they enjoy the day no matter what they do / believe / think / theorise or practice.

But now I feel a little bit guilty as I'm a catholic who has the customary plastic tree covered in cheap ornaments from the $2 shop, I play the whole 'be good so santa brings a present' game with my 2 young kids and I can guarantee I won't be at church on Thursday as I still feel I'm in 'credit' from all my time spent at a catholic boarding school all those years ago.

Oh wait, Christmas for us is about spending the day with my family, letting the kids have fun with their uncles and aunties, swimming in the pool and having a few beers whilst we have our annual bocce challenge on the golf course my old man built in the front paddock. Given that my interest in HB has re-sparked an interest from the old man and my brother put down his virgin brew last weekend, I look forward to my first christmas where I won't stand out as a bit of a beer geek as much as I have in the past.

So, whatever you do / don't do this thursday and no matter where your theological beliefs lay, I would like to wish you all a merry christmas. By that I mean I hope you get to spend some quality time with those people you consider most dear to yourselves.

That's what I'm doing and I wouldn't swap it for anything at all.

Merry Christmas! :D

Hinduism - re-enact the Kumba Mehla pilgrimage by walking barefoot and naked to the local indian restaurant

Didnt realise my mates are hindus.

Altho they run more often than walk but do periodically stop to wave the old fella at some disturbed senior citizens but thats probably all part of the whole pilgrimage thing...... :D

From the culture that brought is the Kama Sutra.

Great thread Jayse.

I've been raised a Christian, chose to accept Jesus, and I'm still a Christian. Haven't really been to church for a while now, but we're planning on finding a local church for our daughter to go to sunday school and all that... but anyway I'm getting a touch off track. This Christmas we're going to SWMBO's parent's church nearby. She found out the service is gonna be a 90minute deal.

Dammit, I tune off after a 5 minute sermon. I can't stand these long ones! Short Christmas sermon's are the go, cos that's the day "people like me" go.
Anyway just had to get that off my chest.

Yes, I celebrate Christmas, and yes I can't stand hearing christmas tunes in October.

Having a 2yo daughter really makes Christmas exciting again. Got the "stop here, Santa" sign out front, and she's all excited. Did all the pressy wrapping last night. Frickin' dodgy wrapping paper.

Whatever your beliefs, have a great Christmas everyone. Make sure the fridge is full of the good stuff. I have a decent selection of belgian's to keep the cheer flowing here, so I raise my glass to you all.

One last thing, on the "Americanisation" of Christmas, I do hope we Aussies don't get into the whole "Happy Holiday" thing. IMO, if I wish you a merry christmas, I don't wish to offend, I mean to wish you well. If someone of another faith says to me "have a happy Unicorn day", Hey, thanks man. I hope we get a public holiday for it soon!

Cheers to Everyone.

You'll love them all, but my favourite is Maudite. Don't expect to be particularly vertical if you don't share them with someone. :super:

I'm pretty sure I've got a stubby of the Maudite in my fridge. Hanging to open it!
:chug:

I am currently awaiting a happy call from work, the one where they confirm they are over staffed tomorrow and I can have annual leave, this will give me 3 days off for xmas...This would mean I could consider opening one tonight...

I have a small problem with the sharing though, no-one in the wife's family drinks beer, so I'll just have to have one per night....

I have a cold ATM, and am wishing for it to go away. I NEED my taste buds back!

Wow, what a read!

For the record -

I love Christmas

Hope everyone has a good one.....................................but only if you want to. ;)

Cheers

Yes, got the happy phone call.....No work till Saturday...

May we all have a joyous and SAFE holiday season, remember, alot of our beers are stronger than regular commercial ****, don't drink and drive......

Now that I have done the serious stuff :p I opened the Maudite to drink with my dinner of roast pork and veges......Holy crap, I just had a beer-gasm....

One question, anyone know of a technique to reuse the bottles???
