Hi guys,
just want your opinion of this imperial stout I'll be brewing on my 50l BM...
Imperial Stout
Batch size 45 L
Boil size 55 L
Boil time 90 min
Efficiency: 80%
Yeast: WLP004
Original gravity: 1,094
Final gravity: 1,013
Est ABV: 10,8%
Grain bill:
- Pale malt 72,6%
- Carraamber 6,3%
- Chocolate malt 3,2%
- Special B 3,2%
- Black patent 2,2%
- 2 kg Sucrose
Hops:
- Styrian Goldings (4,4%), 250 g, 90 min
- Cascade (7,6%), 90 g, 90 min
I've added the sucrose to add up some alcohol and to dry it out a bit, now I'm wondering what would be the best way to do this on a BM. Double mash or just mash with Pale malt and Carraamber and then steep the three other malts?
Cheers
