Ring Around The Top

Hello all,

I have two batches here about 3 weeks in the bolltes (Mex and CPA kits) carbed up with carb drops that have a ring of something around the inside of the bottle at the high beer mark. Have tasted the CPA and it tastes a bit cidery to me. Never had this ring before. Is it a infection of some kind.

I've had this happen once in a brew which was bottled too early (not sure if that had anything to do with it). There was only a ring on the PET bottles though, not on the glass.

Yes these are in PET
