Grist
4KG Pilsner malt
2KG Wheat malt
0.5KG Vienna

1 tsp Gypsum
2 ml phosphoric acid in sparge water
8g yeast nutrient
1 whirlfloc tablet
1 tbs gelatine for fining
1kg frozen raspberries

Added raspberries in primary after fermentation started to wind down, left a week and then racked. I later added syrup because the 1kg raspberries did not seem enough on sampling – probably add 1.5kg frozen raspberries only next time).

Good Day Rod
I had the pleasure of judging this great beer. A delicate balance between crisp wheat and raspberry. I was quick enough to grab your second bottle from the fridge and will share it with fellow ESBers this Friday. The nicest fruit beer that I have tasted

recipe might need to be fixed up.

In the notes it says 4kg of Pilsner malt but says 4kg of Vienna malt in the grain bill instead.

Rod,

I was one of the other lucky judges of your beer, and I agree wholeheartedly with Barry (that's the Barry who beat me to the other bottle  )

I see in your notes that you used 1kg of raspberries into the primary after initial fermentation, but also added syrup. How much and what type?

Well done.

Thanks for the feedback fellas and thrilled to hear you liked it that much. The syrup was a 750ml bottle of cascade rapberry syrup from either coles of woolies.

I bottled half and kegged the rest for a mate's 30th out in Bourke which was a bit of novelty out that way!

Cheers
Rod

ps recipe is now fixed
