quite specific melbourne bar question

Hi guys,

I'm in Melbs overnight on a Wednesday for a 'buisness' stop over. Staying right near flinders station.
Getting into the city late at about 9 or 10pm. Will be wanting to sneak in a beer or two before bed. What's my best bet and will they have food that late or should I just get some filthy take away?

The only place I've been to in the city before is Cookie.

The beers aren't usually the most exciting there, for my money, but that's the best beer/food combo near you. The burgers are pretty nice. Don't ask the staff about the beers. Just don't. You may be pushing it hoping the kitchen is open at 10PM on a Wednesday, though. Suck it and see.
