Pitching New Yeast At Bottling Time

I think after six weeks fermentation of an Ale there is not going to be any problems of bottle bombs due to adding yeast. In fact I would say you will need to add fermentables (in your new yeast pitch ) unless you re-pitch a lager yeast even then I would add "some" fermentables.

i know a few of you were somewhat interested in the happening of my christmas ale, so a quick update. i ended up chucking a small amount of US-05 into 5 bottles to see what, if any difference it would make, let you know how that ends up in about 3 months from now.
