There's a new bar opened up in Macedon, specialising in Victorian craft beers, both draught and bottled.

They have 4 rotating taps (currently Hix brown, Edge cool hops lager, Thunder Rd Draught, and Faire Fement cider), along with a bottle shop carrying ~50 beers, 10-15 ciders and various wines. The bottle shop is takeaway or drink in (for a small corkage fee).
Food is tasting plates of artisanal cheeses and cured meats (Istra, Holy Goat etc), around 15 different offerings.
There is also a co-operative pizza option with Red Ida pizzas across the street, available for eat in at the bar (seriously good, authentic pizza !)
They are a 2 minute walk from Macedon train station, which is on the V Line. As is Woodend, which makes for a very convenient beer excursion...BLB, Holgate and the Royal George Hotel in the same area too (Father's Day is coming up, gents).
I think that's everything. Check the website for their extensive opening times.
Full disclosure.... the owners, Curtis and Nicole, are friends of ours, but aside from that I am not involved with the business.
If you're in the area, pop in and say Hi, have a pint and a lounge in front of the log fire.
Cheers, Dan
