Thanks to Gerard_M and GMK for the help with the font and taps along the way. Thanks to Dreamboat for the thermostat bulk buy. Thanks to my mates Ken and Ben for the help putting it together.

I am going to build a pretty wooden frame to wrap around it to make it look a bit better... one day! I am also going to tidy up the spagetti of cables inside it... one other day!

I had some antifreeze in the shed, so I cut the top off the bottle and dropped a pond pump in it to flood the font. It is attached to a timer to come on in drinking hours. It works so I'm happy!

Jazza, without the font sitting in a specific drip tray with a drain, do you find the condensation that drips off the font to be a problem?

Thanks for the positive comments guys!

My font is flooded, which means there is an ability to pump a cold liquid through it to keep the font/taps cool. If you don't keep them cool it can make it hard to get a decent beer from the tap... Imagine a 30*C tap trying to pour a 4*C beer. Problem city!

I used antifreeze for two reasons. The first being it was tested to hold a colder temperature than salt water... The second being if the thermostat failed the antifreeze wouldn't ice up and kill the pump.

To convert a freezer, you need a thermostat to control the freezer. I like the dixel ones that Dreamboat set up under Temperature Controllers in the bulk buy section.

PM me if you need more info.

Cheers,
Jarrad

No issues yet, but the ambient temperatures have only been in the mid 20's, Not too worried about it
